Laurette was my brave and wonderful wife for fifty five years. She very rarely talked about her chronic condition. She always loved the joy of living. Her very rare underlying condition of Aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis was diagnosed at Guy's Hospital in 2010. The prognosis then was three and a half years. It is thought that maybe the use of an experimental trial drug in 2010 gave Laurette her extra years. The cause of her death on January 16th 2021, was Aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis with Anaemia and pericarditis, Any donations in lieu of flowers will go to Maggie’s Centre on the Singleton Hospital site. Maggie's were a valuable and great support to us when we moved to Swansea from North Pembrokeshire in 2011. Laurette needed to be in hospital one day each week to have blood transfusions for five years plus many other treatments. Laurette was a wonderful wife who put up with an awful lot of difficulties that her chronic condition threw at her. Please leave a tribute to Laurette if you wish. Thank you. John.
